WRITERS AT WOODY POINT 2026

The Writers at Woody Point Festival returns August 18-23, 2026, bringing its signature blend of music, literature, and community to the historic Woody Point Heritage Theatre and venues throughout the town of Woody Point. Now in its 23rd year, the festival continues to offer a vibrant and eclectic mix of celebrated and emerging voices, all set against the stunning backdrop of Gros Morne National Park.

This year's lineup combines beloved festival alumni and exciting newcomers — internationally acclaimed authors, some of Canada's bestselling writers, and outstanding musical guests performing across a week of unforgettable evenings. Expect rich storytelling, live music, and that singular August magic Woody Point is known for.

From literary readings paired with live music, to stand-alone concerts, intimate interviews, coffee conversations, outdoor hikes, and lively late-night sessions, the festival offers a week-long celebration of storytelling, place, and creative connection.
