Cabox is an aspiring Global Geopark that spans the Bay of Islands and Humber Valley area

    Some talented young singers from St. Peter’s Academy in Benoit's Cove did a song as part of the animated Cabox Rock Video soundtrack.

    Cabox is the name of the highest peak on the island of Newfoundland and is an Aspiring Global Geopark spanning the Bay of Islands. Some talented young singers from St. Peter’s Academy in Benoit's Cove did a song as part of the animated Cabox Rock Video soundtrack.The title is "Our World In Motion" and it's produced by Cabox Aspiring Geopark which spans the Bay of Islands / Lower Humber Valley region.  Its mandate is to establish a UNESCO Global Geopark which aims to promote the natural and cultural heritage of the region for both education and tourism purposes. In the video, 5 school kids take a tour of the Bay of Islands region on bike, foot, raft, kayak, side by side and dory while describing various geological sites and acknowledging that their world is in motion from the ground up. the video features paintings by Newfoundland artists Lori Deeley and Joanne Cole.  The video will be played at the Rotary Arts Centre this evening at 7:30.
