Owner Carl Dymond says they’ve completed the runway lighting and will be working on hangers to be completed by this spring.

One of the main goals at the Stephenville Dymond International airport is to get flights returning to the tarmac. The airport was finally acquired in August after a lengthy battle through bankruptcy. Owner Carl Dymond says they’ve completed the runway lighting and will be working on hangers to be completed by this spring. He says they’re working on getting passenger service up[ and running from the airport. Dymond says flights will be landing and departing from the airport this year. He says the airport has International status and they work closely with the Canada Border Services Agency. He says they are speaking with International airlines. Dymond says there is so much potential at the airport and on the west coast that the only limit is imagination at this point.
