Industry, Energy and Technology Minister Andrew Parsons says more than ever, there are so many opportunities for the future of Newfoundland and Labrador. Parsons says these opportunities are spread across many different fields. He says the tech industry hoping to fill 2000 new jobs in the next few years, mining is getting more investment from outside the province, and a new year will see advancement in the renewable sector like hydrogen. Parsons says there is more work to be done in the offshore wind energy sector and our oil sector continues to be the backbone and revenue is used in reinvesting and diversifying. Parsons says he’s looking forward to seeing the culmination of projects that have been started. He’s also expecting big news coming from Labrador and central Newfoundland within the mining sector.
