Humber Arm South will be doing upgrades on the storm sewer system and will construct a new chlorination building, while across the bay in Meadows they’ll be replacing the lift station and McIvers will be working on the water treatments system.
$123.1M is being allocated for 73 municipal infrastructure projects that increase access to drinking water. It also includes solid waste systems to support current and future populations. The province and the federal government have finalized a 10-year agreement under the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF). Projects will be cost shared between the federal government, the province and municipalities.
