$180,000 supports sustainable waste management programs

    The funding is for programs offered through the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board.

    The City of Corner Brook is getting money to buy four new tumblers to help improve access to community composting.

    Over $4600 will go to the city’s Organic Waste Diversion through Community Focused Composting. The funding is for programs offered through the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board.

    More than $180,000 has been provided to 18 projects that support sustainable waste management. Gros Morne Inn/Taste Restaurant will get $15,000 to buy and install an on-site commercial composter. The compost will be used for gardening projects at the inn.
