22 medical students at MUN have accepted bursaries and agreed to work in this province. The Undergraduate Medical Student Bursary Program offers $7,500 in funding to full-time students in their fourth year of the Undergraduate Medical Education Program. In return, the students agree to work in the province for a year as part of a return-in-service agreement. A total of $165,000 will cover the cost of these bursaries to help address a lack of doctors in the province.
