Michael Melnychuk has been charged as a result of a firearms investigation by RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador Federal Serious and Organized Crime, in collaboration with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
A 39-year-old man from CBS is facing 24 firearms related charges. The investigation began in after the CBSA alerted the RCMP that it had intercepted and seized eight firearms suppressors destined for Melynchuk’s home The RCMP was also assisted in the investigation by Canadian Postal Inspectors, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and other RCMP Policing Units.
