The “experiences of hate and hate crimes” will be the topic of a discussion in Corner Brook tomorrow. It will take place Tuesday June 3rd at Grenfell campus library Room LC301 and there will be a free parking lot for attendees. The discussion will include a group of panelists including the RNC. Alison Caines is the Violence Prevention Coordinator with the Corner Brook Status of Women Council. She says a hate crime is a criminal act against a person, group or property that occurs due to hate or bias, and carries harsher penalties. She says the session is all about awareness.
