Plans to increase business and community involvement at the Corner Brook Port Corporation started years ago and now, they have released a new and improved business package. It began as a partnership between the port and the Corner Brook Board of Trade, which led to the formation of a Cruise Network Committee. Patti Ricketts is the Cruise Marketing Coordinator at the port. She says this helped them to go after funding, have a volunteer group and more. Ricketts says a lot of the questions she receives are usually about opportunities for vendors, musicians and a complimentary bus shuttle service. She says the committee meets every five weeks throughout the cruise ship season to talk about elevating offerings here in Corner Brook.
