It’s been slightly more than a month since the official launch of  the Business Navigator program and so far, 70 inquiries have been received. They are all related to new businesses/set-up, funding/resources and government support. Corner Brook is one of three Business Navigators teams which provide one-on-one, personalized service for inquiries related to requirements to establish and operate businesses.  Industry Minister Andrew Parsons says the purpose is to provide a more specialized service for businesses to call. The team also identifies unnecessary regulations and red tape to ensure a more timely, efficient and effective regulatory environment. They provide information on regulations and programming, licences, permits and inspections, as well as financing, taxes and staffing. Parsons says the ideas are all over the map.
