Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-25 Age-Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador Communities Program. It provides funding support to eligible municipalities, Indigenous Governments, and not-for-profit organizations with an age-friendly mandate. Recipients can get up to $10,000 to conduct an age-friendly assessment or implement aspects of an existing plan. Up to $15,000 is available for eligible communities including local service districts that take a regional approach. The application deadline is May 27, 2024. Last year’s recipients include the Benoit First Nation Inc. and Flat Bay Band Inc.
