It was around nine o’clock when sirens and lights of four trucks from the Corner Brook Fire Department could be heard and seen in the downtown core.
Firefighters and first responders were quick to the scene of a chimney fire that closed lower East Valley Road for a bit Tuesday night. It was around nine o’clock when sirens and lights of four trucks from the Corner Brook Fire Department could be heard and seen in the downtown core. In no time after arriving, firefighters had a ladder leading to the chimney and put the blaze out promptly. An ambulance was also on the scene. Traffic was disrupted for some time to allow crew time to contain the scene.
There is no report of any injuries.
