At Monday night’s public meeting, Corner Brook city council approved policies regarding sidewalks and crosswalks. Councillor Bill Griffin explained the purpose behind the sidewalk policy which shall provide the City of Corner Brook with a standard process to manage public requests for sidewalk installation; to ensure that a transparent approach and objective criteria are used to evaluate sidewalk installation needs throughout the City. The policy outlines the process for the initiation, assessment, development, and implementation of sidewalk installation on City streets.
