The city of Corner Brook is looking to develop more industrial land. Mayor Jim Parsons says a Request for Proposals was issued on the last remaining lots on Lundrigan Drive and now, they are running out of space. He says there is a lot of demand for industrial space and the next step is to figure out where to develop. Parsons says that could be the Industrial Park area, Watson’s Pond, Lundrigan Drive, or the from Lundrigan Drive to the highway. Parsons says the new hospital is encouraging development in that area. He says last year we had 20 percent growth year over year in new commercial permits. The issue was brought up during Monday night’s public council meeting.
