The College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is showing off a new pilot for Electric Vehicle First Responder Training, and they’re doing it with a Tesla Model 3. A media demonstration will get underway at 11 o'clock this morning at CNA’s Philip Drive campus in St. John’s. They have room for 12 students  from police, firefighters and emergency medical personnel. Today’s event will showcase the hands-on training that will occur on one of two electric vehicles being used in the training program – specifically, the Tesla Model 3, which has been modified to highlight hazards of the vehicle. The other is a Chevrolet Bolt. The practical component of the training will involve emergency procedures, such as disabling high voltage within the vehicle.
