The Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade is getting some money for the Tourist Chalet on Confederation Drive. Immigration, Population, Skills and Growth Minister Gerry Byrne says $10,000 has been awarded to be able to continue with services. “The tourism season is in full flight but to get the best economic benefit we need a tourism centre,” he says. “It’s operated by the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade and located right at the entranceway to the city.” The Corner Brook Bay of Islands Visitor Information centre is open 7 days a week from 9 am until 6 pm.
