A Corner Brook Bishop that was ordered to apologize to a Dean he fired and take an early leave leading up to his retirement in October, has issued a statement. Thirty two people within the Diocese of Western NL Diocese were interviewed as well as and both the complainant and respondent. The 129-page report showed Organ was discriminatory, committed emotional conduct, and bullied Dean Catherine. She will be re-licensed by June 30th.
Meanwhile, Organ’s statement states he has not spoken publicly about the matter since January 19th. He says it became necessary for the diocese to seek independent counsel. Organ says “this matter before us has not been impartially investigated, has been one-sided, and has allowed an anger and hate campaign to determine its findings and recommendations.” He wants “a fair and proper investigation that reviews the original issue.”
