Corner Brook city council to bring down the budget Monday night

    Mayor Jim Parsons says recovering from the pandemic is still having an impact, as is inflation.

    Corner Brook residents will find out Monday if  taxes will go up. The city is ready to bring down the budget at Monday night’s public meeting. Mayor Jim Parsons says recovering from the pandemic is still having an impact, as is inflation. He says it’s been tough since the pandemic but people are gathering again and going out to events, but we’ve all seen the price of everything go up. Parsons says the city has to deliver a balanced budget. Monday night’s council meeting gets underway at 7pm. Bayfm will broadcast the event.
