The College of the North Atlantic in Corner Brook will be the location for a new Hydrogen Training Program. The newly minted Industry, Energy and Technology Minister Steve Crocker announced $315,000 to go towards the initiative. He says as this province is positioned to become a significant player in the green hydrogen sector, training programs like this are crucial. It will include the purchase of state-of-the-art hydrogen and ammonia lab equipment, advanced software to create realistic training scenarios, and safety equipment to ensure that students learn to handle hydrogen safely.
Crocker says with its hydrogen training program, College of the North Atlantic continues to be a great provincial partner in helping prepare the workforce with the skills to work in the renewable energy sector.
