Councillor Pamela Keeping says this extra $24K is for work done by Pomerlau on an emergency door at stairwell number 6 in order to meet code requirements.
Corner Brook council has approved two more change orders concerning work at the Marina Redmond Centre, which officially opened last weekend. At this week’s public meeting, Councillor Pamela Keeping says this extra $24K is for work done by Pomerlau on an emergency door at stairwell number 6 in order to meet code requirements.
Councillor Vaughn Granter asked why the city has to pay this as part of the design-build contract. Director of Engineering Donny Burden says the door was replaced with a double door and was an existing door for emergency exit at residence. This was needed in order to open.
The second change order was for nearly $41K for the installation of the HRV unit replacement.
