The next application dealt with a request to utilize crown land to relocate a portion of an existing ATV snowmobile trail within the city.
The city of Corner Brook has received a couple of crown land applications. The matters were brought up during Monday night’s council meeting. Councillor Pamela Gill says the owner was notified that his property on Dunbar Avenue is owned by the Crown and is under what’s commonly known as “squatters rights.” The next application dealt with a request to utilize crown land to relocate a portion of an existing ATV snowmobile trail within the city. Councillor Bill Griffin says the area is in a rural zone near Little Cook’s Pond. The plan is to reroute the trail north of Little Cook’s Pond between the current trail and railbed.
