Corner Brook council travel claims up nearly $8 thousand over last year's final quarter

    Total travel during the same time in 2022 was $4,883.80, a difference of  $7,869.04.

    Corner Brook city hall released a summary of council travel expenses during Monday night’s regular meeting. A total of $ 12,752.84 was spent to send 5 council members to the Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador Trade Show held in St, John’s from October 25th-28th. Mayor Jim Parsons and Deputy Mayor Linda Chaisson attended the event as did councillors Pamela Gill, Bill Griffin and Pam Keeping. Councillors Vaughn Granter and Charles Pender did not claim any travel expenses during the period between July and December of last year. Total travel during the same time in 2022 was $4,883.80, a difference of  $7,869.04.
