It’s full steam ahead for the Corner Brook Port Corporation. Last night, the Board of Directors held their annual general meeting at the R. A. Pollett building on Riverside Drive. CEO Jackie Chow says the port maintained stable operations and consistent activity across its industrial business. She says they’re finalizing a feasibility study on expansion projects to meet stakeholders needs in years to come, as well as some maintenance projects at the wharf. Chow says construction on a new 24,000 square foot warehouse will start soon. It will be a multi-unit waterfront warehouse with direct access to the container terminal. Dredging activities are also scheduled for this spring to remove sediment in key harbour areas, ensuring safe navigation and to deepen the berth to better accommodate current and future users
