Council approves a lounge and home based business, and issues a stop work order

    After reviewing the application and location a decision was made during Monday night’s council meeting. Staff does not feel that a Lounge will have any negative impacts on the surrounding area.

    The City of Corner Brook has approved an application to operate a lounge from the existing building located at 64 Lundrigan Drive, or Wayward Spruce. After reviewing the application and location a decision was made during Monday night’s council meeting. Staff does not feel that a Lounge will have any negative impacts on the surrounding area. Also, a home based business has been approved for 21 Osmond’s Avenue and no objections were received at city hall. Mayor Jim Parsons says it’s a third-party vehicle seller. In Other business at Monday night’s council meeting, council approved a stop work order at 4 Pinegrove Avenue in Corner Brook after work was being done without a valid permit.
