About 80 percent of underground piping has been laid under the Mt. Bernard reconstruction
The Corner Brook Recreation Centre is about 90 percent complete. Council gave an update on projects during Monday night’s meeting. Councillor Charles Pender says all drywall has been installed and floor tile is nearly complete. He says floor tile has been installed and ventilation ductwork in the pool area is underway. Meanwhile, Pender says about 80 percent of underground piping has been laid under the Mt. Bernard reconstruction project and worked stopped just below Randolph Street. The Great Trail Enhancement Project Phase1 is complete. Pender says staff are repairing damage that was done to gates at the end of last month and won;t replace them until this spring. Pender says work on the O’Connell Drive Pedestrian Crosswalk is about 99 percent complete. He says they’re just waiting on NL Power to remove a pole.
