The city’s share is $3.6M and the project includes a new water storage tank, water pumping station and expansion of the distribution system that can handle another 300 new homes.
Corner Brook Mayor Linda Chaisson says Monday’s $12M funding announcement for the Curling Westside Reservoir is the result of three levels of government partnering with the same aim in mind. The city’s share is $3.6M and the project includes a new water storage tank, water pumping station and expansion of the distribution system that can handle another 300 new homes. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit, Chaisson says this opens parcels of land that couldn’t be developed before.
A timeline for the project isn’t in place yet but Chaisson says there hasn’t been a potential for this development in years.
Chaisson says the push is on now to get wastewater completed and they will need all levels of government at the table.
