Disc Golf is growing in Corner Brook

    President Johnston Miller says the sport of disc golf is growing in popularity here in Corner Brook and they estimate hundreds of people in the area play.

    Corner Brook Disc Golf was built during the summer of 2022 by the provincial sport organization Disc Golf NLin conjunction with the city. Since  then the Corner Brook Disc Golf club has been growing the sport in the area and was recently selected as the #1 course in the province for 2024 by UDisc. President Johnston Miller says the first course was built in Stephenville and the Corner Brook course was the first 18 hole on the island. He says right now the course is about nine holes and starts in the Atlantic Pitch area up by Captain Cook’s lookout. Miller says the sport of disc golf is growing in popularity here in Corner Brook and they estimate hundreds of people in the area play. Disc Golf is free to play and there are about 30 members in the local club so far.
