Equipment issue at substation cause of Corner Brook power outages

    A power outage affected over 3100 customers in the west side and Curling areas of Corner Brook down to Mount Moriah this morning.

    It went for about 10 minutes around 11am. Newfoundland Power spokesperson Michelle Coughlin says these were isolated, brief power interruptions to address an equipment issue at their Walbourne’s substation in Corner Brook. She says this is an isolated incident and there is no issue with service in the area. Power also went out temporarily this past weekend in these areas.
