“Experience Qalipu” is an initiative to promote tourism opportunities within the community. Pender says it’s all about sharing the mi’kmaq experience with visitors and Indigenous tourism is increasing. He says there are opportunities and so many craftspeople here, as well as those who can share stories. Pender says people are interested in having that “authentic” indigenous experience.
