Government is investing $1,95M to support the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Community Business Development Corporation’s creation of a new artificial intelligence training program for some entrepreneurs. Called the “Artificial Intelligence for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises micro-credential program,” it aims to equip businesses with artificial intelligence skills to boost productivity, streamline operations and enhance competitiveness. It is developed in partnership with Keyin College, which has an office in Stephenville. The program consists of an introduction to artificial intelligence, training in areas such as leadership and strategy, human resources and workforce development, finance and accounting, or sales, marketing and customer experience. The first cohort will begin in June 2025, with 650 employees across 325 enterprises.
