Public consultations will be held across the province with one in Corner Brook on June 19th.
Government is looking for input on the development of an Early Learning Action Plan. It will also include a legislative review of the Child Care Act. The Department of Education is holding public consultations throughout the province. A session will take place at Academy Canada in Corner Brook on June 19th from 6-7:30pm. Education Minister John Haggie says It will give those in the early learning and child care sector, stakeholders and the public, a chance to provide input and feedback on how things can be improved to meet the needs of children and families. Minister Haggie says the 10 dollar a day childcare is the affordability piece, but now they want to know how people feel about accessibility.
