Grenfell Campus is getting a federal and provincial boost of $1.156 million for its Navigate Incubator and Makerspace to deliver more opportunities and resources for entrepreneurs in Western Newfoundland. Today’s announcement was made by ACOA and Rural Economic Development Minister Gudie Hutchings, and Immigration Minister Gerry Byrne on behalf of Industry, Energy and Technology. Hutchings says $867,000 is from ACOA. She says all across NL we are seeing startups generate game-changing ideas that wind up on the global stage. The provincial government’s share of the funding is $289,000.
