Academic Prep Week is designed to give new students an opportunity to learn some important skills heading into their first year of studies.
It can be a scary time heading out to university from high school. New communities, new people, and course loads, can be overwhelming. Grenfell Campus is hosting the first Academic Prep Week to give new students an opportunity to learn some important skills heading into their first year of studies. It will take place from Aug. 28- Sept. 1st. Carolyn Parsons is campus registrar and director of student services. She says it’s designed to give new students the skills and knowledge they need for a successful semester. She says during the week there will be a number of sessions covering a variety of topics. Parsons says it’s also a great opportunity to meet people and get settled away.
