Corner Brook city staff has a schedule to follow when plowing snow. The City’s streets and roads are divided into 7 zones, with each zone covered by 1 or 2 plows depending on their size and complexity. Under normal conditions it takes approximately 12 hours to completely plow each route including primary, secondary and tertiary roads. During heavy snow events the primary streets may have to be plowed more frequently, thereby extending the time to complete the route. As always, snow means slow. Driving conditions can change rapidly during the winter so it is important to budget lots of time to get around.
