    It's time to buy and wear a poppy, Royal Canadian Legion Campaign has started

    Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons says the turnout for the annual remembrance parade is something to be proud of.

    The annual Poppy Campaign by the Royal Canadian Legion is underway and leads us to the November 11th Remembrance Day tradition. Legionnaire Robert Murphy says making a donation for a poppy and wearing it helps support veterans. He says Poppies are worn on the left directly above the heart. He says everyone has a story to tell related to war. Meanwhile, Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons says the turnout for the annual remembrance parade is something to be proud of. On November 11th, people will gather at  the Majestic Lawn around 10:20 a.m. and  then the parade will start from the cenotaph on West Street.
