    Land reserve deadlines extended to allow wind hydrogen proponents in NL time to secure agreements

    There are six proponents with plans for wind-hydrogen projects including World Energy GH2 Ltd. in the Bay St. George area.

    Government has extended land reserves to give wind energy companies more time to secure agreements with investors and continue with pre-development work. There are six proponents with plans for wind-hydrogen projects including World Energy GH2 Ltd. in the Bay St. George area. The Crown lands Wind Energy L and Reserve is now February 28, 2026 and the Wind Energy Contingency Land Reserve is extended to March 31, 2026. Industry Minister Steve Crocker says “this emerging industry holds the exciting promise of creating good jobs here at home while also delivering the clean, renewable energy the world is increasingly demanding.”
