Tony Anderson is a retired linesman with Newfoundland Power, after a forty year career.
There are many heroes who live among us. Tony Anderson is a retired linesman with Newfoundland Power, after a forty year career. Unlike many who like to take it easy during retirement, Anderson felt the need to help when people need it most. He has worked since retirement with a group of so called “storm chasers.” He’s down in Florida now helping get the power restored. His daughter, Crystal Anderson and her son Riley are here in Corner Brook waiting for his safe return. Anderson says her dad is in Largo, which is near St. Pete’s, with a number of retired and some newly graduated linesmen. While she is scared she remains proud of her father. Tony Anderson has been gone for about three weeks now.
