It’s World Ocean Week and there’s plenty on the go in the Gros Morne Region. Sydney Sullivan is the Marine Programs Coordinator with the Atlantic Healthy Oceans Initiative. She says the lineup of activities aims to celebrate our connection with the ocean and raise awareness about marine conservation efforts taking place in our area. Sullivan says today’s events get underway 11 a.m. in Trout River. She says this Wednesday, they will host a zoom panel discussion that everyone can check out. Sunday is World Oceans Day and Sullivan says they will have a lobster supper at the town hall in Norris Point followed by a concert with Sherman Downey & the Charmers at the Lions Club.
