The goal in Corner Brook is to raise $14.000 and the National goal across 50 communities this year is $4M.
May is MS Awareness Month and this weekend, everyone is invited to take part in the annual MS Walk in Corner Brook. Supporters are gathering beginning noon at the Legion on West Street Sunday to raise funds and awareness. Tina Skinner says there will be something for all ages throughout the day with childrens activities, singers, a barbecue, 50-50 draw, and an auction. MS Canada Atlantic ambassador Melissa Brake says the local group is growing and this year they’ve formed a planning committee. Over 90,000 Canadians living with MS and Brake says 12 people are diagnosed every day. The goal in Corner Brook is to raise $14.000 and the National goal across 50 communities this year is $4M.
