Stephenville-Port au Port MHA Tony Wakeham says while there is a great anticipation for growth and opportunities, there are still pieces of the puzzle missing.
Stephenville-Port au Port MHA Tony Wakeham says he’s “cautiously optimistic” about the prospect of wind development in the Bay St.George area. World Energy GH2 recently acquired the Port of Stephenville and has a project proposal in to government to begin wind hydrogen development. The Nujio’qonik project means, “where the sand blows.” Wakeham says while there is a great anticipation for growth and opportunities, there are still pieces of the puzzle missing. He says the sale of the Stephenville airport is still not finalized. Wakeham says people are anxious to see what the plans for the airport will be. He says any hydrogen projects need to be environmentally sound. The PC party leader hopeful is hosting a meet and greet in Corner Brook. It gets underway 7pm at the Glynmill Inn.
