Municipal leaders can avail of training on the new Towns and Local Service Districts Act

    They will learn how to increase awareness of the changes from the current Municipalities Act, 1999, learn about new and continuing provisions in the new legislation, and gain a better understanding of their roles under the new legislation.

    Municipal councillors, officials, and local service districts can now avail of a series of training sessions on the new Towns and Local Service Districts Act, which comes into force on January 1st. They will learn how to increase awareness of the changes from the current Municipalities Act, 1999,, learn about new and continuing provisions in the new legislation, and gain a better understanding of their roles under the new legislation.
