National Pride Month kicked off in Corner Brook this morning with a flag raising at city hall. Quinn Jesso is with the Corner Brook Bay of Islands Pride group. Jesso joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit this morning and says pride month means something different for everyone, saying it could mean the inclusivity, chosen family, and people that have your back. Jesso says they’ve put a lot of elbow grease and midnight oil into getting all the events for the month together and collaborating with other groups in the area, like Crimson Art Studio, the Corner Brook Status of Women and the Corner Brook Aboriginal Women's group. For a full list of events, check out the Corner Bay of Islands Pride facebook page.
