NL Government commits to 7 cents less per lite of gas and diesel for the next year

    Government will also be continuing its 50 per cent reduction in the cost of registering passenger vehicles, and the home heating supplement program.

    Finance Minister Siobhan Coady has announced an extension of the tax reduction on gasoline and diesel of seven cents per litre for the next year, until March 31, 2026. This maintains a lower price at the pump by 8.05 cents per litre (including HST.) Government will also be continuing its 50 per cent reduction in the cost of registering passenger vehicles, and the home heating supplement program.
