    NL Net debt for 2021-22 is $16.4 billion

    Reports also showed Expenses were $8.9 million lower than the estimated $9.3 billion.

    The Auditor General hosted public hearings today to follow up on recommendations made in 2 reports. Specifically, the Public Accounts Consolidated Summary Financial Statements for the year ended March 31, 2022 and the Annual Report of the Office of the Auditor General dated February 2023. There was a $271.9 million deficit for the 2021-22 fiscal year. This equals a $553.6 million decrease to the original projected deficit of $825.5 million. Net debt for 21-22 is $16.4 billion. Reports also showed Expenses were $8.9 million lower than the estimated $9.3 billion. Revenue was at $8.6 billion higher than the original estimation of $8.5 billion.
