He says, “What happens in our schools is reflected in our communities and what happens in our communities is reflected in our schools. ”
Teachers are disappointed with the lack of education commitments in this week’s Throne Speech. NLTA President Dale Lambe says it was yet another opportunity that government had to state their commitments to the future of education. He says statements about education were brief and had no substance. Lambe says they’re trying to create an environment in which students can learn and grow but are faced with inadequate resources, complex class compositions, daily incidents of violence, and teacher and student assistant shortages. He says, “What happens in our schools is reflected in our communities and what happens in our communities is reflected in our schools. ”
