The leader of the opposition, Tony Wakeham, says the deficit is up, net debt is up, revenues are down and if it wasn’t for an increase in personal income tax our deficit would be much higher. He looks at how the economy is performing and judges it by what people are telling him. Wakeham says there are over 3,000 people waiting for affordable housing. As well, he says it needs to be easier for people to do business in this province. Wakeham says proper planning is needed. He says his focus is on how to help people in this province with things like access to health care and violence in schools
