Cst James Cadigan says they received reports related to traffic, unsupervised fires, off-road vehicle activity, and underage drinking.

The RNC on the Avalon responded to a number of violent incidents at multiple unsupervised field parties during the long weekend. Cst James Cadigan says they received reports related to traffic, unsupervised fires, off-road vehicle activity, and underage drinking. Reports of violence were also made by party attendees and parents. The RNC continues to encourage parents and caregivers to speak to the young people in their lives about the dangers of attending such events. Parents should know where their teens will be, have frequent check-in times, let your teen know they can call you for help and establish a code word to signal help is needed. No arrests have been made, and at this time there is no information to suggest the incidents are connected.
