Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says an officer on patrol stopped him while he was operating a snowmobile on Goose Cove Road knowing he was prohibited from driving.
A 23-year-old man who was ordered by the courts not to drive anything, was picked up for impaired operation in St. Anthony Tuesday night. RCMP Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says an officer on patrol stopped him while he was operating a snowmobile on Goose Cove Road knowing he was prohibited from driving. Police conducted a traffic stop to confirm that the operator was a prohibited driver and observed that he was also exhibiting signs of impairment by alcohol.
The driver failed a roadside breath test and at the detachment, blew well over the legal limit. O’Donaghey says an order not to drive applies to anything with a motor. The man was released from custody and is due to appear in court at a later date.
