Upwards of a hundred people showed up at Corner Brook city hall for a protest-counter protest this morning. Many parents kept their children out of some schools in the country to avoid the situation. Members of the Corner Brook-Bay of Islands Pride and supporters showed up around 8:30. Josh Connors says they received a lot of support for safe spaces in schools for children who may have questions. That’s when a man named Motty joined in on the conversation… He asked about people ganging up on a small 5-8 year old child which could lead to mutilation. The discussion continued and ended with a chant, No Space for Hate. RNC were on site but the protest-counter protest ended peacefully.
